My husband and I are empty nesters recently retired. We lost our minature Schnauser last year and find it is way too quiet and empty without a dog in our life. I have long been an admirer of the Cavalier but I've read that they do better when not left at home alone so I could never entertain the possibility before retiring. My husband has never seen a Cavalier in person before but I have and I think he would fall in love with the breed like I have. Due to vacations in 2009 we will not be in a position to adopt until June. I like your site and your Cavaliers very much. Do you think you might have any available around that time? I have always had females and think I would want one but actually want to be able to look at the puppy and fall in love. Is it possible to adopt from you in that manner?

I have been reading up on "Cavaliers" and I think since I am retired from teaching and have time, they are a good breed for me. However, I think an adult dog would be better than a puppy..I like to walk and I have 2 grandsons. So, child-friendly and ability to be secure driving in a car are essentials for me. Are there ever any adults available, but not too old?

I love this breed! The Tri-colored is my favorite color. My husband and I are getting over the loss of our 16 year old border collie and I'm wanting a smaller female dog.
