Please welcome our new babies, Billy and Pete. Billy has the wider white stripe between his eyes. Pete has the narrow white stripe between his eyes. They are about 14 weeks and helping to relieve our heartbreak over losing Harley. So much love!!!! R

Hi Dale,

It's been about a year and a half since I got Wyatt - he's still absolutely amazing.  Such a snuggle bug!!  Here's a picture of him snuggling with his 'little' brother, George. Wyatt has no idea that he is about five times smaller than George!

Hope all is well at Castlemar!

Hi Dale,

It's been almost 3 weeks since I got Joey. We renamed him to Gus. I was trying to get a name that wasn't already used by someone in the IL/WI agility circle. We were having a real hard time with the name; I really wanted a one-syllable name but couldn't find anything that was right for him. When we saw him run in our back yard and saw that he could almost keep up with our border collie (who breaks agility speed records!), we saw him as a Gust of Wind. That's where Gus came from.

He is doing quite well and will start puppy classes on Saturday. I wanted to have some time to bond with him before asking him to do things for me :). His first few weeks have been rather eventful for him, I'm sure. The weekend he arrived he "visited" a NADAC and CPE agility trial where many of my friends and their dogs were at. My college-age daughter and her border collie came up for that weekend; they live in Lexington through-out the year but come home about every other month. It worked out very well as she took her border collie and my other Cavalier to perform in the trial on the day Gus arrived. Gus got to meet them both at the trial along with lots of other dogs. He was held by so many people and played with so many dogs that weekend! I was fortunate to work from home most every day that week, with a 4 hour trip into work on Thursday. That very first weekend, we knew he had a very special personality; he "kissed" all of my friends and was fearless with the other dogs. He also has created a very special relationship with a 6 year old neighbor who helps me walk Gus and Bob, my other Cav.

Hi Dale,

Hope your show went well. Just checking in. Ollie is doing great! I feel like he’s already gotten so much bigger.he’s such a love bug.

Lastly, do you have any vet recommendations in our area – Park Cities/Uptown-ish. So far, I haven’t found anyone doing their own emergency care.

I’ve attached a picture of the little guy.

Best,

Sara

Thank you.   Best to you as well.   Thanks for the info. on Noah.

Fyi.   Tully is amazing-   he knows about 60 commands, about 5 different
sign languages,  and is human like-  yet still is quite aware that I am the alpha
and leader.    He's independent & stubborn as well-  and he can run like the
wind.   Everyone loves him & he knows it.   His best girl friend is Debbi, and
he turns into a romeo around her.  He actually gives her a hug every day when she gets home-- it's hilarious if you could see his face.  He's a lover.
He commands respect in his yard from all the other animals including iguanas, snakes, geckos-  and constantly befriends every and all bugs.

He's a manager at heart, as he has his nose in everything we do-

He has always been lifted in & out of out vehicles, and lifted on and off the couch or chair.  He is unbelievably strong for a little guy of  15 lbs.

We have a lot of company stay with us, and he enjoys that, as we watch
him make a different relationship with each person.   He is amazing indeed.

Thought you'd enjoy some of this info., inasmuch as you are the one who
is responsible for him being with us, and thought you'd like to hear some
things which relate to the fruits of you labor.   you should be proud.  thanks.

Capt. Joey
